Regulatory Compliance & Standards

HARP (Healing Arts Radiation Protection) testing is required under Ontario legislation governing the safe use of diagnostic X-ray equipment. It includes acceptance testing, performance verification, and ongoing quality assurance to ensure compliance with provincial radiation safety requirements.

Under Ontario HARP requirements, systems containing X-ray tubes are generally subject to testing every six months. Due to the design of CT systems, standard HARP testing is not always directly applicable in the same manner as conventional X-ray equipment.
